Technical Sales Support
EPS is so much more than a bead. There is a whole world of knowledge, science and testing behind it.
Anita Paoniasari, is Technical Sales Support at BEWI RAW. ‘And there you have exactly the beauty of my job,’ she says. “I am spider in the web between so many different departments of the company. Sales, Research & Development, Production, Quality Assurance (QESH). But I also visit customers a lot to solve problems or improve processes there.”
At the knobs myself
“I then really stand at the machines myself. Some of the operators know very well how to fine-tune and play with settings such as temperature, steam and time. And another part is more like “press a green button for start and a red one for stop”.
Then it’s cool when they see how, for example, the process can be more efficient and/or how they can get a better end product!”
Anita studied chemistry, was fascinated by the composition and functioning of medicines, ended up in the world of coatings and finally here at BEWI RAW in EPS as a solution for insulation and packaging issues.
Puzzling, thinking along and solving
“I have a passion for chemistry, but mostly for solutions. Complicated issues. The customer wants X, how are we going to make it happen? And then I start puzzling together with R&D, testing and bringing the right experts together. How nice when you can then come back with the golden final solution. EPS is also a really cool world. I am still amazed by where the enormous amount of applications. And there is a whole world of knowledge, science and testing behind that one little ball.”
During her training, there were very few ladies. “I really don’t understand why. But maybe it’s typically Dutch, because in other countries, like Portugal, there are actually many more women in this industry. But here at BEWI RAW, I am considered full everywhere. And even with customers, they are happy if they can learn from someone who knows just a little bit more about all those details.”
